Rutherford County Survey of Recreational Needs

In partnership with the TDA, IPDC, Destination by Design and RHI Legacy Foundation, we are conducting a survey to identify the needs and preferences for recreational opportunities in the County. Information gathered in this survey will be used to help in the development of a comprehensive plan for parks and recreation programs and facilities within Rutherford County. The plan will evaluate existing recreational opportunities within the County and provide recommendations for additional opportunities. It will also assist with establishing recreational priorities. Book-A-Librarian

Rutherford County Library’s Book-A-Librarian service allows you to schedule time with one of our staff members for personalized assistance. The following is just a sample of the services we provide:

  • Setting up and learning how to use an email account
  • Searching for and downloading eBooks and eAudiobooks
  • Help with school research projects, business reference, and other complex research tasks
  • Learning basic computer skills such as using Microsoft Word and other Software
  • Book and author suggestions and creating reading lists for adults, teens, and children
  • Improving your Internet skills by learning how to effectively search for information
  • Searching the library’s online catalog and accessing your account from home
  • Help with formatting a resume and doing job searches online
  • Staff are available to speak at your club/civic organization/business event

Please keep in mind that there are some services we are unable to provide help with. These include (but are not limited to):

  • Giving legal, medical, or tax advice
  • Filling out legal, medical, or tax forms
  • Troubleshooting or repairing computer equipment or mobile devices

Appointments can range from 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the complexity of your service request. Requests should be made at least 48 hours in advance by filling out the form at the front desk, calling one of the libraries, or filling out the form below. We require 48 hours notice to give us ample time to review your request and assign it to the appropriate staff member.
